LaTeX Source Editor

Source mode is the exact-text LaTeX editing surface in Learnitive. It is the right place for custom commands, package-specific syntax, complex environments and precise source control.

Canonical source

Learnitive keeps the .tex file as the canonical document source. Switching to supported Visual tools does not convert the project into a proprietary document format.

Multi-file projects

Use the normal project tree and open-file tabs for chapters, bibliography files, class files and other project assets. Git and terminal tools can work on the same project structure.

AI and review

AI suggestions should enter review-aware workflows instead of silently replacing manuscript text. Structural LaTeX contexts can be protected from automatic rewriting.

Compile

Use Local or Cloud Compile according to project requirements and inspect the compiler log when a build fails.
