Projects & Files
Projects Folder
Projects Folder is Learnitive's optional local-filesystem synchronization and recovery feature. It is global for the current browser profile, not a per-project storage choice, and it does not require an account.
Connect one folder
Choose Projects → Storage → Local Folder. Select one directory once. Learnitive remembers the browser-granted directory handle while site data remains available.
All projects synchronize
Existing Browser projects are reconciled into the selected folder immediately. New projects, templates, ZIP imports, Git clones, AI Builder projects and Interactive Docs synchronize automatically.
Folder structure
Each project lives in an immediate child folder whose name exactly matches its project slug. Hidden .learnitive metadata stores stable local identity, sync state and local deletion tombstones. It contains no login token or account ownership marker.
External editing
You can edit synchronized files with VS Code or another local editor. Learnitive reconciles external changes when Projects/project views open, the browser regains focus or you choose Sync now. Same-file concurrent edits become conflicts rather than silent overwrites.
Browser cleanup recovery
A complete browser cleanup also removes the saved directory handle. Return to Projects, choose Recover Projects Folder, and select the previous folder again. Learnitive scans project manifests and restores the Browser copies without contacting an account project registry.
Disconnect
Disconnect stops synchronization only. It never deletes Browser projects or files already written to the Projects Folder.
