Bibliography files

Store .bib files with the project and use the bibliography package expected by the document. Keep citation keys stable and readable.

Search and import

When scholarly metadata is retrieved, inspect title, authors, venue, year and identifier before adding it to the bibliography. A retrieved record is not automatically correct because an AI workflow found it.

Missing keys

Use project-aware analysis to detect citation keys that do not exist in known bibliography files. Do not fabricate a replacement key.

Compile

BibTeX or Biber availability depends on the selected compile workflow and project configuration. Compiler logs remain the source of truth for bibliography errors.
