BYOK AI Providers

BYOK means you connect your own supported AI provider credentials to Learnitive instead of relying on a shared application key.

Configure a provider

Open AI Settings, choose a supported cloud provider and enter the credential required by that provider. Follow the provider's own account and billing controls for the key.

Credential handling

Learnitive is designed to keep user provider credentials in the browser-side configuration path rather than publishing them as project files. Never commit an API key into a project repository or template.

Project context

A cloud model can only help with context you intentionally allow the workflow to send. Privacy Mode is the control to use when you do not want manuscript/project context sent to a cloud provider.

Switching providers

Changing the configured provider changes where future cloud AI requests are sent. Local browser AI and Ollama are separate paths.

Troubleshooting

If a cloud provider rejects a request, verify the key, provider/model selection, account quota and network availability. Provider errors are not fixed by recreating the Learnitive project.
