Automatic AI Suggestions

Automatic AI Suggestions watch for safe editing opportunities after a short idle period. They are designed to stay outside the active typing path and to present changes for review rather than silently rewriting source.

Configure the watcher

Open AI Settings and choose the available automatic-AI mode for your current provider path. Pause the watcher temporarily when you want uninterrupted manual editing.

Idle behavior

Text edits create a short idle window. New typing invalidates stale work. Cursor-only movement should not force the same text to be repeatedly re-sent for review.

Safety gates

Learnitive suppresses automatic suggestions in contexts where a rewrite would be ambiguous, such as protected document regions, structural LaTeX areas, active selections or overlapping unresolved review changes.

Review first

A successful suggestion enters the review workflow for Accept or Reject. This keeps canonical project/manuscript source under human control.
